Visit the adventure play area (open at all times):

The adventure play area within Devonport Park is a modern, custom-built facility designed to cater to children of all ages and abilities. It focuses heavily on natural timber construction to blend in with the park's historic surroundings.

The play area contains:

Age-Zoned Play Equipment

• Toddler & Infant Zone: Low-level themed play structures, small slide units, cradle swings, and an open-access sandbox.

• Junior Activity Area: Larger climbing frames, balance beams, stepping logs, and standard flat-seat swings.

• Teen Challenge Zone: High-rope climbing networks, large matrix nets, challenging trim trails, and zip lines for older children.

Inclusive & Accessible Features

• Sensory Play Elements: Dedicated musical instruments, tactile panels, and sensory planting designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

• Accessible Equipment: Level-access roundabouts, basket swings, and wide paths suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Safety & Comfort Amenities

• Safety Surfacing: Continuous rubber wet-pour flooring and impact-absorbing wood bark under high-climbing areas.

• Enclosed Boundary: The entire play zone is securely fenced off from the main park to keep dogs out and young children safe.

• Parent Seating: Integrated timber benches and picnic tables positioned around the perimeter for clear sightlines.

Devonport Park Community Choir (DPCC)

The DPCC is an all-ability, all-are-welcome, no audition adult choir that come together to enjoy singing popular songs and are invited to perform at many events around Plymouth throughout the year. They meet to practice on Monday evenings, at The Salvation Army Hall in Balfour Terrace, Stoke between 6pm - 7.30pm. Cost is £5 per week (first evening free of charge). All music is provided free-of-charge. Feel free to come along to join in & have fun!

Plymouth Pie Club (PPC)

The Plymouth Pie Club began during the first pandemic lockdown, as a way of continuing to serve those vulnerable cafe patrons no longer able to access their services within the cafe. Today it continues to provide freshly-cooked, home delivered healthy meals at low cost. The PPC is run by a commitee and volunteers and if you may be interested in supporting them please contact:

Devonport Park Run

Devonport Park Run is a chance for locals to increase their fitness and come together with like-minded people to excercise in safety and inclusion within the park. It operates on Sunday mornings in Devonport Park, meeting at 10am at .... and the run continues until 12 noon (or you decide to go have a coffee and cake in the cafe instead!). Using the Devonport Park Bandstand

The bandstand within Devonport Park is available for the free use of anyone in the community (within legal limits) and its' management is under the purview of the FoDP. If you are part of a group or organisation that would like to utilise it however, or would like to use it on a pre-booked basis, this can be achieved by contacting: plymouthdevonportpark@gmail.com.
